At the Red Cross they have a long history of hiring people with migrant background. Migrants are viewed as an asset to their organization. Often, migrants have dealt with difficult situations and challenges during their journeys which helps them to identify with newcomers.

They have knowledge of the resident´s languages, their culture and experiences, which is a big asset. By hiring people with migrant background the adaptation for newcomers will be easier from which the whole society will benefit.
