DAY 2 of the Italian Diversity Dialogue Fora

We are witnessing important changes in our society: The covid-19 outbreak has demonstrated that the foundation of our way of life was built on clay and that there is the need to accelerate the process toward a more sustainable and inclusive society.

These transitions will inevitably reflect on the job market and the Italian Diversity Dialogue Fora could be an opportunity to reflect on how these changes could affect immigrant workers, especially the ones with weak permission of stay and low skills and to showcase some ideas and proposals to reduce the risk of exchanging personal rights for a contract.

After the successful first day of the Italian DDF “HOW TO CHANGE – Migrant work between emergency, changes and rights”, Legacoopsociali invites you for the second day of the Diversity Dialogue Fora.

21 May 2021 from 10.00 to 12.30 pm CET

In this framework, the event intends to share “success” stories of immigrants who, through their commitment, are helping to change the community in which they live and, consequently, the vision that society has of the migratory phenomenon. The stories were collected by Legacoopsociali and Consorzio Communitas that have reflected on their experiences in supporting social and labour inclusion.

These are not exceptional stories, but their exceptionality relies on the cultural, economic and social path that these people had to face in order to have a better chance to live.

At the end of the meeting, two stories will be awarded. Nevertheless, the real award will be the recognition that these stories tell, where, like a game of mirrors, they reflect what we were and what they can become.

There will be English, Italian interpretation available.
