The April DDFs are here!

The next Diversity Dialogue Fora (DDFs) are here! In April, two of our partners, KMOP from Greece and JMK from Estonia, will organise their local DDFs online.

 

On 8 April 2021 from 2.00 to 5.00 pm EET, KMOP will host the Greek DDF “Actions for the integration of migrants in the local community: exchange of stories & experience” in Greek and English.

At the centre of the discussion will be topics such as how can common stereotypes about migrants today can be overcome, which is the positive impact of migrants in the local community, how can culture contribute to the social inclusion of migrants, the role of media in the public image of refugees and immigrants, and the contribution of civil society organisations to migrants’ integration. Moreover, KMOP and the speakers will share good practices in migrant integration, and success stories at cultural, economic, and social/educational levels. This event will have language interpretation in both English and Greek.

 

On 27 April 2021 from 1.30 to 3.30 pm EET, the Estonian DDF “Migrants’ contribution to the Estonian labour market: coping in the context of COVID-19”, organized by JMK, will take place online in Estonian.

During the Estonian online panel discussion, we aim at providing a general overview of the current situation in the Estonian labour market, its effects on migrants’ employment, existing opportunities, and obstacles in entering the local labour market.  The panel discussion brings together specialists from various fields to discuss the role of migrants’ in the Estonian labour market and the possible ways to support third country nationals’ well-being, especially during the current COVID-19 situation. The event will be in Estonian.
