Join our next Stories from MAX people: Migrant Women
8 March 2021 was International Women’s Day #IWD; a day to celebrate women’s achievements, raise awareness about gender equality and women’s rights, and challenge inequality and injustice.
This year’s theme for the International Day, “Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world”, celebrates the tremendous efforts by women and girls around the world in shaping a more equal future and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
It is time to make 2021 count for women and girls everywhere.
This month, the MAX project celebrates International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month by recognizing the important role of migrant women and the fantastic impact they have on their communities.
In the face of the COVID-19 pandemic over the last year, the essential contribution of so many migrant women to their societies has gained much-deserved recognition.
MAX project continues to highlight some of the most interesting integration initiatives run by and for migrant women.
On 29 March 2021, for our Stories from MAX people, we engage and give voice to two different grass-roots organizations in Prague and Brussels working with migrant women by hosting a live event “The Role of Migrant Women in Changing the Narrative”. We will be talking to Ekaterina Kokkalou from Youth Included, and Hakan Aycicek from European Professionals Network, and the moderation will be taken over by Eleonora Lamio, from Diesis Network.
