MAX’s participation in the Growing Europe conference
MAX project participated in the Growing Europe conference which took part on 24 September 2020 and was organized by the COSME-funded projects EMEN, M-UP, and Magnet.
‘The Growing Europe. Boosting migrant entrepreneurship networks’ conference was held as a series of online events every Thursday in September 2020 and dedicated to current issues and future challenges of migrant entrepreneurship in Europe.
MAX project co-organized the last session about the Narratives on Migrant Entrepreneurship. The keynote speakers representing MAX were Rachida Bouganzir, Catherine Edwards, and Juan Francisco Alavarado Valenzuela. They spoke about a variety of issues impacting the narratives on migration in general and had the opportunity to elaborate on the topic by showcasing three different perspectives: one success story of a migrant woman entrepreneur, one from a Solutions Journalism approach, and the last was about the impact these narrative have on the policymaking of migrant entrepreneurship.
During the event, session participants had the opportunity to ask questions to the panelists, who then either answered them directly or via chat on Zoom.
